Mural making for community building!

Mural-making is way more than the painted image. At its best, it becomes a dynamic engagement activity for the community - bringing people together in creating imagery that expresses shared vision and aspirations.

Contact me to explore how we can work together to create a transformative mural-making project for YOUR group and community.

Community Engagement in the Arts Course

As part of our CSU Community Engagement and the Arts course, we explore how the arts can transform communities - and us! We dig deep into proven methods and practices for community engagement…and then we do it! Our coursework includes the creating and management of live, boot-on-the-ground community art-making, allowing you to deliver transformative experiences.

Nothing brings communities together like the arts and art-making!

Thursday Morning Art-Making Sessions!

Every week, during the warmer months (and sometimes even when it’s cold!) we’re making art out-of-doors someplace in the Fort Collins, Colorado area. See the schedule, below.

This is for anyone interested in the immediacy and pleasures of drawing or painting out doors!  You DON’T have to be a practicing artist.  Just bring your adventurous art-making spirit along with a sketchbook and pencils - or paints and brushes — or other supplies that tickle your creative fancy.  I’ll be on hand to help new-users explore how to get started - and to support more experienced art-makers with their process.

Upcoming…

Starting Thursday, June 4, I’ll host weekly plein-air art-making sessions at the CSU Trial Gardens (across from the University Center for the Arts, 1400 Remington St). There’s so much color and dynamic community motion happening in that area!

Join us every Thursday from 9-11AM!

And sign up for my e-newsletter to get updates re: any changes in schedules or special events!

May 7, SPECIAL EVENT! Plein-Air Art-Making Marathon!! 9AM-8PM All day long at the Center for Creativity, 200 Matthews Street, Fort Collins.

The C4C has so much interesting subject matter - and we’ll spend the entire day looking, drawing and painting as much as we can!  Join us in the morning or at lunch or for a date night - or for the entire day!

Sponsored by the CSU Arts Management Program.
