Thursday Morning art-making sessions

Every week, during the warmer months (and sometimes even when it’s cold!) we’re making art out-of-doors someplace in the Fort Collins, Colorado area.

These sessions are for anyone interested in the immediacy and pleasures of drawing or painting out doors!  You DON’T have to be a practicing artist.  Just bring your adventurous art-making spirit along with a sketchbook and pencils - or paints and brushes — or other supplies that tickle your creative fancy.  I’ll be on hand to help new-users explore how to get started - and to support more experienced art-makers with their process.

Starting Thursday, August 27, Plein-air art-making moves BACK to the Oval!

Celebrating the start of the fall semester, we’ll be moving our painting/drawing sessions back to the CSU Oval in Fort Collins. We’ll be at the north end (by the entrance to the Oval at Lawrence and Howes), near the Danforth Chapel. These sessions are open to all - students, faculty, admins and community members.

For those of you thinking, “Oh, that sounds fun, but I’m not good at drawing…” HA! This isn’t about being good!  It’s about cultivating our abilities to see and observe - to be present and pay attention in transformative ways.  I hope you can join us every Thursday, from 9-11AM!

And a big thank-you to the CSU Gregory Allicar Museum of Art and the CSU Trial Gardens for supporting these sessions!
